2nd Annual Black Tie & Tails Ball
Tickets are on sale for the 2nd Annual Black Tie & Tails Ball, which benefits the Carnivore Preservation Trust, located in Pittsboro. The trust is a sanctuary for over 70 abandoned wild cats and other carnivores. Tickets for the gala, which is March 21, 7-11 p.m. at the Washington Duke Inn, are $125 and are available online at www.blacktieandtailsball.com. The evening includes a gourmet dinner, dancing, and a silent and live auction. One of the auction items is a priceless painting. The artist? Mona the tiger. Despite many curious onlookers, Mona used her paws to create a stunning canvas recently. Mona hates to part with her art but she knows its sale will greatly benefit her fellow sanctuary members.
